exim4-daemon-light software package provides lightweight Exim MTA (v4) daemon, you can install in your Debian 9 (Stretch) by running the commands given below on the terminal,
$ sudo apt-get update $ sudo apt-get install exim4-daemon-light
exim4-daemon-light is installed in your system.
Make ensure the exim4-daemon-light package were installed using the commands given below,
$ sudo dpkg-query -l | grep exim4-daemon-light *
You will get with exim4-daemon-light package name, version, architecture and description in a table
